Charles has over 30 years’ experience in finance and investment. Prior to founding CAPNZ, Charles spent 17 years in global financial markets. From 1997 to 2006 he was based in New York at Credit Suisse, BT Alex Brown and CLSA Asia Pacific Markets. He also spent a year in Hong Kong at CLSA. From 1989 to 1997 Charles was at Jarden/CSFB in Wellington, New Zealand.
This experience allowed him to develop a broad network of HNW/Family Office, Fund and Institutional relationships across USA, Europe, Asia, Australasia and New Zealand.
Charles holds a BCom (Econ) and became an individual member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange in 1995. He also gained various NASD qualifications for the USA markets.
David specialises in Private Equity and Impact investments. He is an investment consultant to private companies, family offices and institutions providing support for investors, fund managers and trustees in the often complex processes building portfolios.
David has a special interest in the practical application of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and responsible investment governance on the opportunities in New Zealand for environmental and social impact investment.
His experience includes leading the NZ Superannuation Fund PE programme, membership of PE fund advisory and investment committees, and corporate senior management and board roles. He co-founded CAPNZ with Charles in 2013 before retiring from the company in 2021. He now provides his experience as a consultant.
